Bloomberg reported citing a statement of the Toshiba, the corporation has given the Canon "exclusive rights to negotiate" on the purchase of Toshiba Medical Systems division. Canon proposal was the most attractive and now the company plans to sign a definitive agreement by March 18, 2016.
The Toshiba has not said about how much Canon has offered for Medical Corporation business. According to Bloomberg, it could be more than about 700 billion yen ($ 6.2 billion). The same amount is called the publication Nikkei and The Wall Street Journal.
Toshiba Medical Systems develops hardware for computer and magnetic resonance tomography, X-ray and other medical electronic systems.
