T-Mobile & Nokia are preparing Laboratory Testing & Field trials of 5G network

Nokia in partnership with T-Mobile US is preparing to deploy dostandartnoy 5G test network for laboratory and field trials in the second half of 2016.

Nokia already supplies its T-Mobile LTE-decision and now will start together with the wireless operator work on the next phase of technological development and the onset of the era of 5G.

For testing and testing 5G network components and relevant options to support the introduction of high capacity and almost zero latency T-Mobile and Nokia use a given frequency band in the range of 28 GHz. This allows T-Mobile to evaluate future technologies 5G and work out new business opportunities emerging in the world of unified communications.

Neville Ray, Chief T-Mobile Technology, said: "Our collaboration with Nokia will bring 5G technology for wall laboratories and conduct field trials of LTE technology and the frequency spectrum, which we have today. Using investments with which we have built the fastest in the US 4G LTE network, we come to the real application options 5G, as soon as the consumer-5G smartphones will be available after 2020 ".

Ricky Corker, head of the North American branch of Nokia, said: "Working with T-Mobile, we will be able to contribute to the standardization of 5G technologies.
